Nicole has always been interested in behavioural patterns and the Psychology behind understanding them. Growing up, she watched someone she was close to struggle with depression and didn’t know how to help. So, in adulthood, she decided to take a more proactive stance and dedicate her life to supporting those experiencing similar issues.
Nicole attended Staffordshire University where she spent numerous years studying Counselling and Psychology. She graduated with a first class BSc in Psychology and Counselling (Hons), a postgraduate diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and more recently, a MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
Nicole predominantly works from a Person Centred approach to Counselling. However, was trained from an Integrative approach which means she has the knowledge and is able to work from numerous modalities, including CBT, Systemic Therapy and ACT.
Alongside Sanctuary Counselling Services, Nicole works for a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault organisation where she offers specialised Counselling. Whilst working for this organisation, Nicole has been able to gain experience working with a large variety of clients all for unique and different reasons.
